Catherine McAuley Award
The deadline for 2009 nominations for the Catherine McAuley Award has been extended to May 17. Nominations of previously considered candidates will be accepted.
Description of Award
The Board of Trustees Catherine McAuley Award will be presented to a member of the Merion Mercy Academy community who has demonstrated distinction in his/her field, service to the church and/or community, and commitment to the mercy values. This person will have, in daily life, emulated the spirit of Catherine McAuley by promoting personal excellence and social responsibility.
Criteria
Any member of the MMA community (alumnae, parents, faculty, staff, students) other than a current member of the Board of Trustees or Mission Committee may nominate someone for this award.
No serving member of the Board of Trustees or Mission Committee may be a nominee.
The recipient of the award will be chosen by the Board of Trustees.
Process
Nomination letters must be submitted and should include the following:
- Name/Address/Phone # of nominee
- Name/Address/Phone # of nominator
- Relationship of nominee to MMA
- A few paragraphs describing the nominee and how she/he lives out the Mission of Mercy as described above
